چکیده

Multilevel hierarchical control has been placed in a well-defined conceptual and mathematical framework in the sixties and culminated in the publication of the book by Mesarovic et al. (1970). The concept of hierarchy was clarified by identifying three notions of levels: • The organizational level, the echelon. Much of the work in control systems and in organization theory deals with the first two types or with a combination of both of them. For example, the hierarchical decision structure of Valavanis and Saridis (1992) can be thought of as a layered one, which is mapped onto a hierarchical physical architecture of the echelon type. The layers support the concept of Increased Precision with Decreasing Intelligence. (Saridis, 1989). It is a particularly effective conceptualization, especially when considering systems where hardware and software are closely integrated such as intelligent robotic systems. A new problem that has began to appear recently-at least at the conceptual level-is the design of the information architecture in the context of which a number of intelligent entities operate.(Levis and Perdu, 1994) One can envision several autonomous robotic systems that are asked to operate in a coordinated manner, whether through centralized or decentralized coordination. The passing of information between the different entities and the need for a flexible, adaptive design of the coordination schemes lead to a software intensive system design. Consequently, a different way of looking at the total system is appropriate-the stratified view. The concept of a stratum is used for modeling information architectures when viewed from different levels of abstraction or, alternatively, of refinement. Zaidi (1991)has already used the approach to model and analyze a type of multilevel, hierarchical system defined as multiechelon stratified systems, where the system is described by a family of structures each concerned with the behavior of the system as viewed from a different level of refinement. The intelligent decision

Hierarchical Clustering of Distributed Object-Oriented Software Systems: A Generic Solution for Software-Hardware Mismatch Problem

During the software lifecycle, the software structure is subject to many changes in order to fulfill the customer’s requirements. In Distributed Object Oriented systems, software engineers face many challenges to solve the software-hardware mismatch problem in which the software structure does not match the customer’s underlying hardware. A major design problem of Object Oriented software syste...

Declarative Semantics in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey

One of the modern paradigms to develop an application is object oriented analysis and design. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles in applications. In an application, we must distinguish between procedural semantics and declarative semantics for their implementation in a specific programming language. For the procedural semantics, we can write a ...

On Attributes of Objects in Object-Oriented Software Analysis

One of the modern paradigms to develop a system is object oriented analysis and design. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles. There is a sequence of activities to develop an analysis model. In the first step, we work in developing an initial use case model. Then in the second step, they identify a number of concepts and build a glossary of partic...

Mathematical solution of multilevel fractional programming problem with fuzzy goal programming approach

In this paper, we show a procedure for solving multilevel fractional programming problems in a large hierarchical decentralized organization using fuzzy goal programming approach. In the proposed method, the tolerance membership functions for the fuzzily described numerator and denominator part of the objective functions of all levels as well as the control vectors of the higher level decision ...

Objects Identification in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey on Techniques

Analysis and design of object oriented is onemodern paradigms for developing a system. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles. Identifying objects (and classes) is one of the most important steps in the object-oriented paradigm. This paper makes a literature review over techniques to identify objects and then presents six taxonomies for them. The f...
